Freeze-dried candy is made by removing nearly all the moisture from traditional candies through a process called freeze-drying. This gives the candy a unique, crunchy texture while preserving its original flavors.

The candy is first frozen at very low temperatures. Then, it’s placed in a vacuum chamber where the moisture is slowly removed through sublimation, turning ice directly into vapor without passing through the liquid stage. This process ensures that the candy retains its flavor and nutrients while gaining a light, crispy texture.
